Who are we ? and why ?Table of contents
From WwwWhoWe are mostly me, Brian Dolan-Goecke. I have been a Linux user for a long time, and enjoy talk about Linux anytime. But having a family and a job limits my ability to talk about Linux. I had been trying to start a Linux User Group, I am also open to talking about ANY Open Source Software issues/topics. Why ?I enjoy talking about Linux, and am not able to always make to other Linux Meetings. I have been trying to organize a meeting for some time, but have not had a place to hold a meeting. Once I was hired by TIES (http://www.ties.k12.mn.us) (http://www.ties.k12.mn.us) I was able to use their facilities for meetings and Install Fests! They have nice meeting and training facilities, come to a meeting and see. WhenI am going to try and have the meeting Saturday Morning from 10:00am to 12:00pm, typically the last Saturday of the month. Other Linux Meetings in the Twin CitiesLinux User Group (http://www.tclug.org) (http://www.tclug.org) meetings are at U of MN has very active discussion listserv and low volume announcement list (which announces PenguinsUnbound meetings). Linux on Saturday, part of the Twin Cities PC Users Group (http://www.tcpc.com) Usually second Sat of the month in Edina. Minnesota Ubuntu Team (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MinnesotaTeam/) has a moderate to low volume mailing list which also has announces PenguinsUnbound meetings |
